Rennsport Online – Season Stats

After an impressive debut season in which we narrowly missed out on the title in the LMP2 category, we are once again qualified for one of the best privately organized endurance series this year: Rennsport Online is proud to have been invited by the International Virtual Racing Association to the IVRA Endurance Series 2021/22! Together with some of the world’s best teams and drivers and over six 1000km races, we will compete for the titles in two of a total of three car classes. Particularly challenging are the live stewarding and safety car periods, which also keep us entertained at all times, also tactically.

Team RSO #97 – Dallara P217 LMP2

Fahrer: Luca | Manuel S. | Cedrik | Nils B. | Mats High Downforce Machine

Our #97 Dallara P217 LMP2 is again in the mix: After the only narrowly missed championship last season, Luca, Nils B., Ceddy and Manuel S. are again highly motivated to build on the convincing second half of the season and to be able to compete at the front again! They will be strengthened by Mats, who also knows the IVRA Endurance Series very well, as he was able to win the title in the GTE class for himself and Team Heusinkveld last season! In a much more competitive field, the five of them will try to be at the top from the start this season and be as strong a challenger as possible.

Team RSO by V-RIG KC Racing #197 – Porsche 911 RSR

Fahrer: Nils C. | Manuel W. | Keith | Brandon | Richard Collaboration!

With the #197, our Porsche 911 RSR will be on the grid in the GTE category. The highlight? Nils C. and Manuel W. are collaborating with V-RIG KC Racing throughout the season. Together with Keith Camillieri, Brandon Tabone and Richard Gafencu, we thus form a very experienced driver quintet and are already looking forward to the many fights in the closely contested class. Also, the very complex and realistic regulations will force our strategy board and drivers for a perfect overview on the race at any time and we’ll need the best of teamwork to impress!

About the IVRA Endurance Series

The 2021/22 season features a total of six races, each of which covers a distance of 1000km. The first round on the Nürburgring GP course will be a true homegame for us on September 11th. Round two will see IVRA debuting on the Red Bull Ring in Austria on October 16th. Round three leads the whole field to the Barcelona GP circuit on November 13th. After the winter break, the second half of the season will kick-off on February 12th in Watkins Glen and will be followed by round five on the iconic Autódromo José Carlos Pace on March 12th. The grand finale will be fought on April 9th and closes the season on Road Atlanta. IVRA stands representative for top level racing, and is a true top class competition from what we learned during last season. With all their experience from organizing professional SimRacing leagues, IVRA offers super realistic racing especially. Their live race control is not only judging the race action, RC also controls safety car periods in case of crashes and thus, manages the whole field in perfect discipline. These great details need more complex race strategies and holds a certain dynamic for our race engineers as well, they have to anticipate and control.

Three classes will contribute to some exciting races, with GT3 further segregated into a PRO and AM category. The slowest class, featuring Lamborghini Huracán GT3, Mercedes AMG GT3, BMW M4 GT3 and Porsche 911 GT3 R, thus contributes the most cars to the whole grid and will be tough to handle in laptraffic. In GTE category cars like Porsche 911 RSR, Corvette C8.R GTE or BMW M8 GTE. Here our collaborative entry together with V-RIG KC Racing enters the competition in our #197 Porsche 911 RSR. Furthermore, Rennsport Online will again compete in the fastest of the three classes, piloting the Dallara P217 LMP2 prototype. The very high-tech prototype is super difficult to drive and to set-up but three poles, four podiums and two victories in the last season speak for themselves.
